Patrizia VIOLI is Director of the Department of Cognitive and Semiotics Studies at the University of San Marino and Associate Professor of Semiotics at the University of Bologna, Department of Communication Science. Her main areas of research are Theory of Semiotics, Semantics, Discourse Analysis, Women and Language, Language and Subjectivity. Since 1994, Patrizia Violi is editor, together with Umberto Eco, of the series "Semiotic and Cognitive Studies", published by Brepols.
